Meet Amy Migicovsky, the charming and effervescent creator of Rock My Soul pillows and wall art. I visited her in her midtown Toronto condo on a particularly rainy afternoon last month. While it was grey and gloomy outside, you would never know it spending time in Amy’s effervescent space. A cornucopia of (well edited) colours, textures and personal artifacts from her travels, the condo truly feels like a big hug. It tells the story of Amy: a colourful creative lady who loves life, travel, music, good company, and of course, pillows. Favourites of mine in her space include the plethora of Rock My Soul pillows on her deep sofa, her orange mid century modern chairs upholstered in Knoll fabric, her beautiful wall decal in her bedroom, and her fearless use of colour in all areas. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
Another highlight was getting a glimpse into Amy’s creative mind. She took me through some of her sketchbooks where the ideas for her textiles come to life. Developing a sketchbook was an important part of my design training. What a treat to get a glimpse of hers.
