ABOUT LISA

Lisa Canning is a Toronto-based designer with a penchant for chic, contemporary,   personalized interiors. A graduate of Ryerson University’s acclaimed School of Fashion, Lisa transitioned into designing homes on HGTV’s Marriage Under Construction. Lisa launched her design practice shortly thereafter specializing in modern interiors for both commercial and residential spaces. Lisa writes a monthly condo column for The Toronto Star’s yourhome.ca. When not running Lisa Canning Interiors, Lisa is relaxing at home with her husband Josh, son John and daughter Evelyn.

A NOTE FROM LISA: In 2010, I decided that my firm would put an emphasis on condos (and kids- blog coming soon). Why condos? I love taking a boring white box from blah to hurrah. And many condos present similar challenges- tight layouts, small square footage, columns in the middle of rooms- I have seen it all. With several condo projects under my belt (check out my portfolio), I have found the best furniture and space-saving solutions out there- and I’m happy to share my resources with you here.

I am always out and about looking for the best in condo design to feature on my blog. Have a product, story or home you’d love to pitch? E-mail me at info@lisacanning.ca
